How to read this page
What the numbers mean
Return, one person, taxes included, found today. The airport on each card is whichever of the ten came out cheapest — on this band that is London more often than not, and the gap to a regional airport can be over two hundred pounds. The airport comparison shows the whole spread for any destination here.
Nothing on this page has more than one stop, and nothing takes more than eighteen hours in either direction. That rules out a set of genuinely cheaper itineraries, and it is deliberate: British travellers avoid two-stop long-haul almost entirely, and a twenty-hour routing sold as a bargain is a complaint waiting to happen. Where a cheaper but longer option exists and the saving is large enough to be a real choice, the destination page shows it with the hours attached.
Some destinations are absent for part of the year. Orlando in August is thirty-three degrees with afternoon storms and hurricane risk; Phuket between May and October is the monsoon; Mauritius from January to March is the cyclone season. Fares in those months are often the cheapest of the year, which is exactly the problem. A destination only appears here in the months it can deliver the trip the price implies.
